These chicken kebabs are marinated in special Turkish kebab sauce which is super easy to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg boneless chicken thigh or breast meat (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp thyme

Instructions
 

  • For the chicken kebab, cut the meat into cubes. Place in a deep bowl.
  • Add olive oil, tomato paste, chili pepper, black pepper, thyme and salt. Mix well.
  • Let the chicken rest in this mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 3-4 hours.
  • Wait for the marinated chicken to come to room temperature before cooking.
  • Meanwhile, put the chicken on skewers. Once the initial heat of the coals has passed, you can start cooking.
  • If you are cooking on a barbecue, turn the skewers occasionally to make sure they are browned evenly on all sides. If you are cooking in the oven, turn the skewers when the top is browned.
  • Chicken kebab is ready. You can serve it with roasted peppers, tomatoes or greens.
