- 500 g ground chicken (breast or thigh, optional)
- 1 onion (grated or finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional – for adding to the filling)
- Salt
Place the ground chicken in a deep bowl. Add the onion, garlic, egg, and breadcrumbs. Add the parsley and spices. Knead the mixture thoroughly. If desired, you can add a tablespoon of olive oil to make the meatballs more moist.
Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This will make it easier to shape.
Pinch off walnut-sized pieces of the mixture and roll them into balls with your hands, creating slightly flat meatballs.
Brush the air fryer basket with oil, then place the patties in the air fryer basket. Spray or brush with oil on top of them as well.
Air fry for 10 minutes at 375°F (190°C). Flip, spray the tops and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
