Keto Strawberry Sauce (Only 3 Ingredients!)

Keto strawberry sauce is an ideal sauce alternative for those on a ketogenic diet. You can use this sauce in recipes such as ketogenic cheesecake, ice cream or pancakes. You can also get a healthy snack by using it on yoghurt or chia pudding!

I used erythritol as a sweetener. You can choose any sweetener suitable for the ketogenic diet. You can also use frozen strawberries instead of fresh strawberries. Since it was winter when I made this recipe, I made it with frozen strawberries.

Can You Eat Strawberries on the Keto Diet?

The ketogenic diet supports weight loss by allowing the body to use fats as an energy source. Because this diet aims to switch to a metabolic state called ketosis by limiting carbohydrate intake into the body.

People who follow a ketogenic diet generally consume low-carb foods. Therefore, fruits are usually consumed in a limited way. Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are suitable for the ketogenic diet. Because these fruits are low in carbohydrates and rich in fiber.

Strawberries are one of the fruits suitable for the ketogenic diet. 100 grams of strawberries contain approximately 6 grams of net carbohydrates. This amount is within the daily carbohydrate limits of the ketogenic diet. Additionally, strawberries are rich in fiber, which provides a feeling of fullness.

Red fruits contain high antioxidants. It is also rich in fiber and supports the digestive system.

When following a ketogenic diet, it is important to control the amount and consumption of what you eat. Since each individual’s carbohydrate tolerance is different, you should adjust fruit consumption to suit your personal needs.

Keto Strawberry Sauce Recipe:

  • Slice the strawberries into small pieces and place them in the sauce bowl.

  • Add water, lemon juice, xhantan gum and your sweetener. (If you are not using Xhantan gum, you can also use a minimum amount of corn starch.)

  • Bring the sauce to the boil and boil over low heat for 3-5 minutes.

  • Once cooked, remove from heat, cool and use.

  • 1 cup strawberry frozen or fresh
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp xanthan gum or corn starch
  • 4 tbsp granulated sweetener erythritol/monk fruit/stevia etc.
