The keto cheese crust pizza recipe yields 6 large slices of pizza. You can add any ingredients you want on top. Of course, do not forget to calculate those materials separately.

Since its fat content is high, this pizza is quite satisfying compared to normal pizzas.

The entire base, excluding the toppings, is 24 net carbs, and 1 slice is 3 net carbs. Of course, the calculation may vary depending on the content of the ingredients you use.

Dip Not

When making ketogenic cheese crust pizza, if the crust contains cheese, choose hard cheeses to make it. So that it can hold the ingredients on it. Hard cheeses such as Parmesan or aged cheddar provide better retention than regular cheddar. They make a better base.

Can’t I use the pizza base without pre-cooking?

How to Make Cheese Crust Pizza:

  • Grate 170g of hard cheddar cheese. I used a mixture of matured and fresh cheddar.
  • Add 85g almond flour and spices and mix. Cook in the microwave on the highest setting (mine is 800) for about 1 minute. The container you use must be microwaveable.

  • Mix the melted cheese taken out of the microwave thoroughly. Then put it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
  • Then add the spices and an egg or egg white. (It’s ok if you don’t use eggs at all). Mix quickly.

  • Roll out the dough by hand onto the tray to the desired thickness. Be sure to use parchment paper or silpat.
  • Pre-bake the pizza base. Bake in the oven at 200℃ or 390° F until golden brown.

  • You can put pizza sauce and other ingredients on the cooked base. If you do not pre-cook, you will have a base that is soft and mushy. So it won’t be able to not hold the ingredients.

  • 170 g grated cheddar matured or fresh
  • 85 g almond flour
  • 2 tbsp labneh or cream cheese
  • 1 egg or egg white optional
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Notes

Note: If you don’t have a microwave, you can still try this recipe. Just make sure you put eggs into the mixture and try to spread it evenly on the tray. Even if your mixture is not homogeneous, when it is cooked, the cheddar melts and gathers and holds the dough.
